Verse No. 12 in the Bible Versus the Quran

This is a new series (1-12) of Verse No. in the Bible versus the Quran.

Verse No. 12 in the Old Testament says that The land produced vegetation: plants bearing seed according to their kinds and trees bearing fruit with seed in it according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good.

Verse No. 12 in the New Testament says that After the exile to Babylon: Jeconiah was the father of Shealtiel (Salathiel), Shealtiel the father of Zerubbabel (Zorobabel),

Verse No. 12 in the Noble Quran says: (Those, as described in the way mentioned) they are on true guidance, from their lord, and they are the successful.

--------------

The verse No. 12 in the Old Testament is Genesis 1:12

The verse continues talking about the creation of the heavens and the earth, it says: The land produced vegetation: plants bearing seed according to their kinds and trees bearing fruit with seed in it according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good.

The verse states that the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed according to its kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, according to its kind: and God saw that it was good.

--------------

The verse No. 12 in the New Testament is Matthew 1:12

The verse continues talking about the Genealogy of Jesus Christ, and Matthew lists Jesus' ancestors, the verse says: After the exile to Babylon: Jeconiah was the father of Shealtiel (Salathiel), Shealtiel the father of Zerubbabel (Zorobabel),

Here again, we have the problem of writing the names in the different four versions of the Bible studied.

Fundamentally, the names of the people have no translation, they have to be written as they are pronounced.

The case is true when it comes to a name of a place, that is Babylon; it is written as it is pronounced in the four versions studied without any change(s).

But when it comes to persons' name, the case is quite different. Could someone tell me:

1) How come that a person's name in one version of the Bible is Shealtiel; and in another version of the Bible he is Salathiel?

2) How come that a person's name in one version of the Bible is Zerubbabel and in another version of the Bible he is Zorobabel?

Verse No. 12 in the Noble Quran is Chapter 2:5,

Surah AL-BAQARA (THE COW),

Verse 2:3-4 (See article 10 and 11) define the believers as those who believe in:

1)      the unseen, that which is hidden from them such as the Angels, jinn etc.

2)      the Hereafter, they believe in resurrection after death and are certain of the bliss of Paradise; the Reckoning, the Eternal Fire; they know it is real.

3)      that which is revealed unto thee (Muhammad) of the Quran and

4)      that which was revealed before you of scriptures i.e. in the Torah, the Gospel and other scriptures given to all the prophets,  and

And establish worship, they perform to completion the five prescribed prayers,

And spend of that Allah has bestowed upon them, and of that which Allah has given them of wealth they give to charity. It is also said that this means: they give the poor-due from their wealth.

The verse 2:5 says:

Those, who have these traits, are on guidance from their Lord, they enjoy favor, mercy and clear exposition that has come down from their Lord, (and these are the successful ones), the ones who shall escape Allah's wrath and torment. It is also said that this refers to those who have apprehended and found what they were seeking and have escaped the evil of that from which they were fleeing, and these are the true believers.

In other words, Those, as described in the way mentioned, are upon guidance from their Lord, those are the ones that will prosper, that is, who will succeed in entering Paradise and be saved from the Eternal Fire.

Is the Quran quoted from the Bible?

Wait and you will see.
