Anytime employers are asked about the skills they value most in
employees, it's always in the top five. Senior managers and
executives frequently cite it as one of the keys to their
achievements. Business coaches, leadership development
specialists and peak performance experts say it's essential to
success. 'It' is the ability to communicate ideas clearly and
persuasively. Yet, it's often one of the most overlooked areas
of personal development. Despite the fact that we spend up to
60% of our ...

A PRISON PLANET:
I decreed my 'twin' into my life in early 1990. It is a story I
tell in other books but I think even Edward House would have a
hard time topping my gifts. She was the only woman with a brown
card in California when she sat on the Governor's Blue Ribbon
Panel on Prison Reform. A brown card allows you access to all
Penal System buildings. She had once been put in prison because
the FBI could not catch her Mafia bosses who had duped her and
many others in a Huntington Beach land ...

Walk into any home today and you are almost certain to find
something which has been purchased from a New Age outlet.
Crystals are of course everywhere. The Buddha himself may appear
in the home office, looking well-fed and smiling as he does duty
as a paperweight or mantelpiece decoration. Wind chimes may mark
the entrance to a room or may be heard jangling merrily in the
garden. The design of either the house or garden may well have
been inspired by the supposed minimalist principles of ...

For, as we are increasingly aware, the structures of human life
in common are of different kinds, not only economic and
political, but also cultural and religious; all of them
condition human life, all of them can weaken or destroy it, and
all of them are capable of being impregnated by the Gospel and
of embodying a greater justice and charity. So it is worth
paying unflagging attention to the different aspects of the
contexts in which we find ourselves, lest we end up oblivious of
the changes ...

In ancient times, scientists, philosophers and magi divided
matter into four basic elements: Air, Fire, Water and Earth. It
has been said that these elements are the building blocks of
life.
A scientist and philosopher named Empedocles set this foundation
for science in Sicily during the 5th century B.C. Empedocles
belonged to the tradition of "Root Cutters," which means that he
was an herbal magician and healer. He defined these elements, or
"roots," as not only physical substances, but also ...

The Right to Have One's Life Maintained
This leads to a more general quandary. To what extent can one
use other people's bodies, their property, their time, their
resources and to deprive them of pleasure, comfort, material
possessions, income, or any other thing - in order to maintain
one's life?
Even if it were possible in reality, it is indefensible to
maintain that I have a right to sustain, improve, or prolong my
life at another's expense. I cannot demand - though I can
morally expect - ...

So you know, roughly, what you want your home business to be.
Before you go any further and start investing, though, you need
to try it out. Here's how.
Build a Prototype
If you plan to sell physical items, or you're going to do
something like starting a website or writing software, then you
should build a prototype to see how your idea will work out. A
prototype is a version of your product that is built quickly by
you alone, and serves to show that your idea is feasible in the
real world. If ...

Quiet times in business happen to all of us. They happen to
established Virtual Assistants, as well as to those just
starting out. The phone stops ringing, your email inbox is so
empty you wonder if your internet service is down and you can't
think of a make-work project to save your life. The good news is
that once you've experienced a few quiet times and learned that
they always end, they'll lose their ability to frighten you. But
I understand that until you have that experience there can ...

Why should anyone start an online business?
After it's all boiled down, the major factors are money,
independence, and time.
Money, of course, is the main driving factor for many. We all
want to make more money. I've heard the following from many
successful businessmen and entrepreneurs, and I'll throw my own
agreement in with it as well.
You'll never get rich working for someone else.
Even those with high paying jobs don't rely simply on their
salaries. They all have investment plans and ...

more than ads for various online business opportunities and not
true business "ideas" at all.
This evening I received one such email. No greeting, no thank

This may be a decade of tremendous corporate profits and
economic growth, but for the vast majority of North Americans,
the 90's have been a dismal, uphill climb. And many economists
believe that this next, new millennium won't be getting better
any time soon.
Why?
Changing business and government attitudes are the reason. There
has seemingly been more anti-business legislation in the last
decade than in any other this century. Stronger employment and
labor laws, the Age Discrimination in ...

What's your clutter keeping you from? By Linda Dessau, the
Self-Care Coach
So you might be asking ' what is clutter and why should I care
about it? Clutter is essentially anything you don't need, don't
want and get no joy from seeing. There might be 100's of items
in your home or office right now that could be cleared away.
The cost of having a lot of clutter around you is that it:
~ Takes up physical space and energy (consider the energy it
takes to constantly walk around a pile of clutter or ...

clutter and debris in your working area, you will
correspondingly clear out mental clutter that ...

We all know that running a home business is highly satisfying,
and at times downright liberating! No clock to punch, no dress
code, and best of all, no boss to answer to. But there are also
many facets of business ownership that entrepreneurs must stay
on top of. One of those is keeping the expense to income ratio
in balance. Below are seven painless ways to do just that.
1.To save on costly ink cartridges, print in draft mode, unless
the printout is for a client or will be ...
